If you want to devote all your time to schooling, you can find accelerated classes which will allow you to receive your certificate as soon as possible. If you plan to continue working another job as you learn, you can find classes at a slower pace. Both types of programs will allow you to become licensed in a way that best fits your lifestyle.

2. Learn how to interact with clients.

When you perform massage therapy on clients, the ability to give an excellent massage is only one part of the skills you need to master. You also need to demonstrate a good bedside manner, putting your clients at ease. In a massage therapy program, you will learn proper draping techniques to protect your clients' modesty. You will also learn how to listen to their cues, both verbal and nonverbal.
